Gianna turns 1 year old

A couple of weeks ago, one of my favorite little girls turned 1.  Little Gianna has now spent one whole year on this earth spreading her joy!!!  Her parents wanted to capture this in photo, so we did an amazing lifestyle shoot at a couple of locations.

First we started at their house for some candids till we headed over to the old santa susana train station  in simi valley.  That place was really cool.

Afterwards, we took Gianna back to have her very first cake!!!  Sugar!!  She dove into it like a real trooper.  Gotta love babies and cake.

Taslyn & Daniel wed aztec style

Taslyn and Daniel were my last wedding of the year.  So of course, they were wonderful and creative.  They had a dia de los muertas style wedding, including aztec dancers at the reception. The cake was decorated with sugar skulls and the groomsmen wore skull boutonnieres.   Let’s just say, this wedding was anything but boring.

Oscar & Cristina’s day at the pier

First, let me start and say, I love the pier.  That’s the santa monica pier.  It’s just so much fun.  Maybe it’s because I don’t live there.  But then again, who wouldn’t love a mini amusement park?

So last month, I got to hand out with Cristina and Oscar to shoot their engagement session, on the pier.

They weather wasn’t great, but we made the most of it.  They were great sports and kept up the good cheer.  I can’t wait for their wedding!

Mike and Alexis are expecting

My very good friends Mike and Alexis are expecting a baby girl in January.  We had fun last weekend taking some pregnancy pictures in my hood.  We went up la tuna canyon and got some amazing shots with the hills in the back ground and then headed over to La Cresenta Park.  You gotta love the sun coming through the hills.

Alexis is just glowing and I think Mike might be also.  They are so excited to be first time parents.  I am so excited to also be photographing their little one, when she arrives.  So keep an eye out.  She is sure to be goregous!
